About Sandy...
My love for fitness has been lifelong. I was a hyperactive child so movement and exercise was one of the few things that would allow me to focus and be successful. After raising my two sons, I felt God calling me to help others through fitness and wellness. It was a strong and clear calling. This is how I love on people...through exercise.
I pursued my associates degree in exercise science at Portland Community College along with specialty certificates in personal training, healthy older adult fitness and group fitness leadership, earned my ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) professional personal training certification, and have attained additional certifications/licenses from Better Bones and Balance, Spinning, AEA (Aquatic Exercise Association), and a 200 hour yoga teacher certification from Yoga Alliance.
When I'm not teaching classes or training amazing clients, I keep busy with my small farm. I love to garden and keep a vegetable garden every summer along with rows of various berries (yum!). I have two of the cutest yellow labs in the world that are a joy to the whole household, a cat, and two horses. My husband and I enjoy being outdoors and exploring Oregon trails on foot or on horseback. I am an avid runner and co-founder of the Molalla Running Club. I love running races of various distances and still chasing the dream of qualifying for the Boston Marathon some day.
